The « Very Big Wandering », Social Housing Tenants Have The Power To Change Things

« Give the tenants the power to act », a new motto ? A trendy concept ? Not for Lyon Métropole Habitat, a social housing organization. They decided to think outside the box to work on the organization-public relationships. Main goals : listen to the tenants, give them the opportunity to speak out, work with them and involve them in projects.

It cannot be just a statement, it is a learning process ! For 2 years, Lyon Métropole Habitat, have been training his staff on « collective action ». And it is already reflecting on the fieldwork.

During the festival, Lyon Métropole Habitat invites you to take part in a « very big wandering » to come and meet these enpowered tenants who could

• Hold a garage sale in Neuville-sur-Saône, to tackle the bulky waste issue,
• Set up an eco-recycling center in Saint-Fons
• Use gardening as community greening.
